The studio would have to have some notion as to the public’s opinion on Leto’s direction for Joker’s characterization. More than likely I think that’s why his screen time was cut. Also, most of that movie went over like a wet fart. I would’ve been more interested in a Harley/Joker movie like it was being marketed as.
