Were there multiple directors for this movie? The opening action scene of the lady attacking the intruders had some fantastic camera moves with some different camera angles. Then the attack in Greece with the Official Play Like The Maiden Love Like The Mother Think Like The Crone Shirt. Then the rest of the movie had normal camera movement and the usual run of the mill battle/fight shots. I finally watched this after putting it off for so long because I hate the new DC movies and their universe. But this was a huge surprise. I ended up really enjoying it. Thought it was way better than captain marvel. Although the chemistry between mama and amber heard was not there at all. Some of the dialogue was also really cringed worthy.

It had the potential to be a much better movie. Why does the cinematography look so cheap? It looks like a B-Movie that went straight to DVD in the discount bin at Walmart. Man of Steel and BvS is set in the same universe. But the production value of those two movies looks a lot more polished than Aquaman. Aquaman just felt cheap to watch. The lighting felt way off on some sets, like the opening fight scene in the Official Play Like The Maiden Love Like The Mother Think Like The Crone Shirt. A lot of stages are way too bright, it feels like a Power Ranger movie. Everyone’s skin was airbrushed to the max underwater. I felt the cinematography of Aquaman was shite compared to Man of Steel and BvS since its the same universe.

When Aquaman and Mera move on from the Sahara to Italy and the music starts, the aspect ratio just looks so weird, it looks like they spliced together two different movies. The movie has a lot of fucking problems, but I think the film overall looks gorgeous. Some of the scenes look too green-screened.
